Limited Licence
Disqualification threatening your job (and more)??? If you have been suspended from driving by the Court for Excess Breath Alcohol (Drink Driving (DIC)), Demerit points or sustained loss of traction and need to apply for a Limited Licence, Day Licence or Work Licence then I can help. FEE:My fee is $750 which is all inclusive. There are no hidden costs such as GST or Court filing fees. HOW:There are 4 easy steps to follow to applying for a work licence: Step 1) You need to fill out the limited/work licence questionnaire here. Answer each question honestly with adequate detail then submit the email form by clicking the submit button. There is no obligation or cost to you at this stage. Step 2) Once I confirm you are eligible to apply and you likewise confirm that I will be your lawyer, I will email you my terms and conditions and then you complete the engagement form on this website. I then prepare all the documentation required to obtain a work licence. An instructing solicitor is required and one is available at no extra cost if you do not have one. Step 3) I prepare the documents which includes the Application; Draft Order; and Affidavits in support. These affidavits are then signed and properly witnessed by the Court Registrar. Step 4) I then fax your application to the police prosecutor for approval. Once the Police indicate that they do not oppose your application I immediately file the application in Court and obtain the soonest available hearing date.I then appear in the District Court with you. This is normally a very brief 5 minute appearance and requires no input from you. Time Required:For most driving convictions there is a stand down period of 28 days before you can be granted a work licence. However, it is important that you complete this form as soon as possible to avoid any further delays. It can take a couple of weeks to process your application, so we want to ensure that the application is processed and in Court so that it can be heard as close to that 28th day as possible. There is no stand down period for 100+ Demerit points, driving with sustained loss of traction or drink driving at the level for under 20 years of age. Contact me as soon as possible if any of these apply to you, so that the application can be heard at the same time as your disqualification takes effect (meaning you don’t have any time at all without a limited licence). |
